Barcelona thrash Zaragoza 6-1

Barcelona moved three away of Real Madrid at the top of the Primera Division after thrash Zaragoza 6-1.Real Madrid were held to a 0-0 draw at Gijon, while Sevilla missed their chance to close within a point by playing out 0-0 at Espanyol.

Barcelona have 22 points from eight matches to Real’s 19, and Sevilla remain in third, three points further back.

Juventus keep pressure on Inter

Inter Milan a 2-1 win over Catania and now is leader in Serie A. Second-placed Sampdoria recorded a 4-1 victory over Bologna, while Juventus also responded with a 1-0 win against bottom-placed Siena. Inter are on top with 22 points followed by Sampdoria 20 points ,Juventus on 18 and by Palermo, Fiorentina and Milan on 15 points.

Fiorentina suffered their first home defeat of the season by going down 1-0 to Napoli, while Palermo beat Udinese 1-0. Livorno moved off the bottom by beating Roma 1-0 at home.

Bordeaux moved to the top of Ligue 1

Bordeaux moved to the top of Ligue 1 table with a home win 3-0 over Le Mans while Lyon were crushed 4-1 at Nice. Bordeaux have 2 points more from Lyon, who following their 2-nd defeat.

Monaco occupies second positions with 21 points after a 3-1 win at Boulogne thanks to two goals by Ligue 1 top scorer Nene.

Fourth-placed Montpellier failed to enter the top 3 positions after lost 3-0 at Rennes. They stay on 20 points behind leaders Bordeaux and Lyon.

Forward Kevin Kuranyi(Schalke) headed a last-minute goal to complete a double strike and salvage a 3-3 draw with Hamburg in the Bundesliga this Sunday. Hamburg stay level on points with leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who also drew 1-1 with Dortmund. Werder Bremen moved into third position after a 4-1 win at Bochum, while Schalke get fourth place on 20 points.

Daniel Van Buyten struck a late winner as Bayern Munich fought back from behind to see off Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1, a result that lifted them to fifth place.

Stuttgart sank deeper when they were beaten 1-0 by Hanover. Bottom side Hertha Berlin ended an eight-match losing streak, grabbing their first point since August by drawing 0-0 with champions Wolfsburg who are seventh on 17 points.
